Bad for beginners

As I am half Italian, I thought it was about time to fully focus on learning the language.The book is absolutely amazing! If you’re taking language learning very serious and going for it, this book is very helpful and clear while starting from the beginning of learning Italian.I’m currently in week 3 and learned a lot already. I do have to mention that I listen to Italian radio most of the day, using duo lingo in addition and taking notes while learning to improve the study process.In short: well explained, clear, and a word list at the end of every week.Improvement: adding the answers of the exercises to check yourself.

It was really what I was expecting and my purchase arrived the way it was announced. I am very glad!!!

I am taking an Italian class at the moment and I find it far too intense and fast-moving. Although it is for beginners, most students have some experience so I felt I was floundering. This Hugo's course has helped me a lot - I can move at my own pace, there are lots of little sets of exercises which I correct myself. If I do badly on one test, I can go back and restudy that section. I am an earlybird, so when I wake, when my mind is fresh, I do a little work as I drink my morning tea. No pressure, no embarrassment. Great value! Ciao!

Used this during a 20 week class I was taking, and really didnt care for it. It introduced tons of new vocabulary into conversations that solely intended to teach grammar, which means I had to learn grammar AND new words instead of just building on what the reader has already been taught. Also amidst the conversations that were in italian and english translations, they wouldnt translate the entirity of the sentence at times, which obviously leaves out important details of learning the language. Also in one conversation a person wanted to buy shoes in size 12, and in the translated dialogue they used a completely different number. Good thing I already knew how to count in italian! Plenty of info in this book and also a reference in the back, but really wasnt put together well.
