I ended up sending this battery back and getting a factory battery that cost about ten dollars more. For those looking for a cheaper replacement battery this one will work but not as well as the original battery, IMO. The problems I encountered were with the connector not snapping in firmly and the two tabs to screw the battery in place not lining up properly. I was able to get a screw in one hole but not the other. The factory replacement battery connector snapped right into place and both screws went right into the tabs, so the extra cost was worth it to me. Had the Amanda replacement battery fit as well as the factory replacement battery I would have given it five stars.

Perfect fit, easy installation (but does need some tools as per HP’s user unfriendly design.). Laptop runs like new, touchpad is no longer bulging from old bad battery. Battery arrived next day, nicely packaged. One issue with the Amazon search engine- if you try to find the battery for the HP laptop by model number, you get either no results or the wrong results. You must search by the battery number, in this case VT06XL. BTW, my HP diagnostics said my obviously bulging, non charging battery was good, and the charger was bad and needed replacement. Glad I didn’t follow the advice. Laptop is now operating perfectly again.

I have had this battery installed for less than a week. The first time I started to test the battery it failed at 20% charge. The laptop kept restarting every 2 seconds or so until I plugged in the power supply and was able to force it to power off normally.

I received this battery Aug 27,2019 and it worked fine as soon as I placed it in my laptop BUT the battery will no longer hold a charge - its spent by Feb 4, 2020. I did all the usual things, unplug the power , remove the battery, etc count to 36 , put back battery, reattach adaptor -see trace flicker of power , wait and wait and wait ...battery will not hold... try again to power up.... I've had batteries before for laptops, NEVER did I have one last ONLHY 5 month and a few days !!! DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU LIKE TO THROW AWAY MONEY!!!

The original HP battery for my old HP Envy 17 expanded until it forced the trackpad up from the keyboard casing. This battery exactly matched the correct size and power needed to replace the old one and get the laptop back into good working order. No problems with the battery (it's been over a month or so now).

Battery was the exact replacement for my HP EnvyIt arrived very quickly after I ordered it.Looking at the first review about the connector for the battery, "not snapping in",It did take some "gentle persuasion" to get the connector to snap in, (I just pushed on the connector with a screw driver), and it snapped right in.Gary

Using it for months now works great holds charge longer that original HP battery which cost 5 times as much.

Now my laptop will charge again. Perfect fit, and, so far, seems to be doing just what a battery is supposed to do.
