Very nice flashlight

This is not an exciting flashlight by modern standards. However, this is a must have in the kayak because it is waterproof, floats, highly visible, has multiple lighting features. What are you gonna do when your 10,000 lumen aluminum turd goes straight to the bottom in 6 seconds? Get this!

I bought this flashlight about ten months ago and as soon as it arrived I put batteries inside and it lit up. I did not use the flashlight for several months afterward. When I went to use the flashlight about nine months later, it would not work. I put new batteries inside the flashlight and it worked again. However, the next day the batteries were once again dead after about 10 seconds of use from the previous day. I am past the deadline to return the flashlight and I am very dissatisfied with this product. I know this flashlight is appealing and colorful, but please save your money and buy something else.

I bought this to keep on my PFD when on the water. It is a bit bulkier than I thought it would be and couldn't lash it to my PFD. It fits inside a pocket fine. The lanyard separated from end before I had a chance to use it. I had an extra high-quality lanyard I attached to the light instead.Overall, the light seems to be good quality. I really like the on/off switches. They are molded into one-piece housing so there is no chance of water incursion. The flashlight is bright and has a high and low setting.The other end has a globe for omni-directional flat white light that is very bright. Perfect for lighting up a larger space.The globe also houses a red LED with constant on, or flashing settings.This light can do the job of several lights. Flashlight, work/reading light or rescue beacon and operates on 3 AAA batteries.I have not tested its waterproof/floating features yet. Once I do I will update the review.Overall it seems to be a good light at a reasonable price. I would have given it 5 stars but the poor quality lanyard took one away.

2 years sat in my emergency hurricane bag. Here we are in Ian, no power, only the little side works even with new batteries! Really bummed.

I bought this light for walking my dog because it had the red light on the rear as well as a white light up front. After less than three hours of total use, the beam became very dim. I unscrewed the top and replaced the AAA batteries with brand new ones. When I reassembled the light, it did not work at all. This is not the kind of light you want to have in an emergency. You get what you pay for. This is a cheesy piece of junk. Buy a MagLite, StreamLight, Fenix, or SureFire which you can depend upon.Update: I raised my rating to two stars because the seller did make good on the product, after some back and forth. I wrote to UST asking for a replacement since the light failed after 35 days (just past the Amazon return window). When I replaced the batteries, the light did not work. So, UST asked me to send a VIDEO showing how I replaced the batteries and reassembled the light. I thought this kind of presumptuous for a $14 item. If it doesn't work, you just replace the thing and move on. Well, since the request was courteous enough I sent some stills showing that I had placed the new batteries in the carrier correctly. UST responded by sending out a new light (not asking me to return the defective one). Well, the replacement was completely DOA. It did not work period. I installed fresh batteries, and nothing. So I wrote to them again and UST asked for another VIDEO. I sent still photos and asked why I got the identical response they provided to my first email. Well, they have a policy that a reason is needed for all returns, replacements, etc. OK, so I asked for another replacement, and that UST open the package and test it first. They did this, and now I finally have a working double-ended flashlight for walking my dog.I checked the UST website and found that they are a reseller for a bunch of items which are probably made in Chinese sweatshops. The uneven quality is a result of their suppliers. Although I did receive a satisfactory replacement, I would not do business with these folks again, due to poor quality. I must say that the customer service was good.There is an opportunity for a quality manufacturer to produce a double-ended flashlight here. I would buy in a heartbeat from Streamlight, SureFire, or Fenix.

It floats. But the switches for forward light and backward light are too close together. We touched the back switch inadvertently quite a few times and got shined in the face, destroying night vision. And the back switch died after 2 nights of inadvertent use when sailing. Now back light stays on. Need to unscrew case to turn it off. Buy something else. I wish I could return it and get my money back, but I'm not in the US now.

It’s a waterproof flash light works like it should.
