I am a 90s child, and have over the years collected so many black lights from Spencer's, Hot Topic, and Halloween sales that it's not even funny. When a windstorm took out one of my treasured 48 inch fluorescent black lights, I was devastated. When I was looking for a replacement bulb, I happened upon these and thought I'd give them a try.Y'all...these are stupid good. My three 30 inchers and one remaining 48 inch light couldn't even hold a candle to ONE of these miraculous lights. It's like a floodlight, only a black light. I used one to light up an entire room. I think if I'd used both, we might've gotten a sunburn! They are *incredibly* bright, so much so that I would make a point of mounting them to point straight downwards because looking at them might singe your retinas. The glow they create is unreal! I feel like I've been living in the dark ages with my old lights. My daughter had the glow party of the century with these. They would improve any Halloween display, skating rink, dance floor, or party. They said to light from 4 directions (like a square) for even coverage but don't do that unless you own like a gymnasium or something. People's eyes would probably explode.They also aren't even half as fragile as my old glass lights, and 10 times as powerful. I can't say enough good things.

Really effective with everything from cheap florescent paint to full sized animated halloween props. We had things 75' away glowing!Don't let anybody look directly into it though! It's very strong and that could be dangerous.I see other reviews saying it wasn't 80 watts, and wasn't bright. This is a true UVA black light. The purpose is to make whites and fluorescents glow very brighly in the dark. It does put off a fair amount of purple light, but it's not a purple led spot light. Completely different things! If you want a bright purple spotlight, check out ustellars color changing 40-50 watts spotlights. If you want to replace your black lights fixtures and spotlights with something a lot more effective, choose these.

My daughter wanted a "neon" themed Birthday party. I wasn't too sure how it would go but I bought these two black lights and they were awesome!!! I put each one on a chair and it lit up the entire room. The party was a huge success and the kids had a great time!!! They used the tape that comes with the lights and put all over their faces. I will def use in the future for Halloween and I def would recommend these lights if you're looking for black lights for whatever function/holiday

It is not bright

I bought two pairs of these big beautiful lights and it was enough to light up our whole gymnasium! I put them up on chair stacks and tied them up just to make sure they didn't fall if a volleyball hit one. The neon tape that came with worked great to mark the outline of the volleyball court, although the purple did not glow. They bought neon face paint and that worked a charm too!

These lights are WAY worth the money!! One of them light up half my yard and house!! I am super impressed and will definitely be buying these again to add to my deco for next year! This black light is no joke BRIGHT!

We bought a set of these to light up some spiderwebs in our front yard and they were perfect. They made everything glow for the entire 20 feet from the front of the yard to the house. Thanks for helping make our neighborhood's halloween spookier!
