Anime Studio 6: The Official Guide 1st Edition

You aren't going to receive much assistance from Smithmicro if you have an older Anime software like Studio 6 or 7. The tutorials are little help, plus the chatroom is manned by people who don't know anything about this level of the software, so that avenue is of no help at all, so you'll need this book to answer your Anime questions. It contains answers to many of my questions, plus some that haven't occurred to me yet, but will as I get into the software. Good book. I recommend it, especially if you're a beginner to this sort of animation.

I'm actually using Anime Studio 7 but there was apparently no book available for that version. Although it's sad that there's no way to know what's changed in version 7, I've gotten about half way through the book and have found that the book applies quite well to version 7 as far as the overall operation and use of the program. The included disc has example files for each chapter and the hands on approach to working the examples is a great way to learn. Until a version 7 book arrives this is probably going to be the best book available for learning this program.

This is a good book, too bad, by the time I learn it, another version of the software has come out. Luckily, the new version isn't so much different from the old version that what is contained in this book is still useful information.Like software, they should give free updates for books like these ;) to include what's new and/or changed, but of course we all know that's never going to happen.

Overall, I find this book to be useful, but it's not really an easy to get into how-to guide. The learning curve with this book is steep, so don't think you're going to figure out Anime Studio very quickly using this book.

This new version of this book is certainly up to Kelly L. Murdock's high standards.Well laid out and organized in ever-increasing levels of complexity by topic within Anime Studio 6, this is a must-have addition to those with the Debut or Pro version of the software.Obviously there are more goodies in here for those with the Pro version as that is more feature-rich.Book also contains a CD of exercise files by chapter. Highly recommended.

I thought that I would need a book length tutorial. It didn't work out that way. The material with the product and on the publisher's web site were enough.

too hard to use

This book LOOKS fine, briefly used so far, but seems promising. What I've managed so far has worked and eventually Imean to get deeper into it
