ZWILLINGTWIN Select Take-Apart Poultry Shears

These poultry shears are the best I have ever owned. They are very good at cutting through bone and cartilage, removing wing tips, separating ribs from the breast meat, etc. if you need to, you can really bear down on them to get the job done. They also do pretty well at cutting smoothly through skin without getting hung up. Their construction allows them to be thoroughly cleaned. And they are a very handsome pair of poultry shears. These are NOT general purpose kitchen shears or scissors.

I’m very disappointed in these sissors. I’ve only used them for about a month. They are already dull, rusting, and starting to freeze open, very hard to close. I only use them in the kitchen for their intended use, and they are just not holding up well at all. I’d return them if I still could. Don’t recommend these at all.

Very heavy duty, precision made, and most importantly, they can be taken apart for hot water and detergent hand washing - no place for bits of raw meat to hide. You do need to be careful not to let the shears pop open and separate unexpectedly, but they will slice the backbone out of a chicken in seconds. I love Henckels quality.

I bought this knife to cut up duck prior to cooking. It is not a good choice for the task. It looks quite formidable, but it is not very sharp, and it has a tendency to come apart easily.

Very disappointing, They cut great, but are made of lousy stainless and rust. Alignment is such that the spring shifts so they won’t go back together. Not worth the price- would not recommend nor purchase again. Would return if I could.

There are several things about this product that I love. Firstly, they easily separate for washing and cleaning. Secondly, the spring mechanism Is located within this shears so there is less chance for rusting. Thirdly, the well-designed hand grip allows you to place your four fingers through the grip, giving you better control and manipulation of the device.lastly, the device is all metal.

Yes, you are considering an expensive scissors (welcome to adulting). Slices through poultry like butta. Get it. You'll thank me later (and maybe invite me over for turkey). ;-)
