Night of the Living Dummy (Classic Goosebumps #1) (1) Paperback – May 1, 2008

The introduction of THE MOST iconic Goosebumps character of all time!!! He also might be the most scary Goosebumps character of all time. This is a must read. I mean you need to read this before you die. I don't care what age you are, read this book!! Probably a 6 star book for me!!

Fun series

12 year old son loved. Great intro to the classic goosebump books. A quick, easy read for a preteen child

My grandson is 11 and he does not like to read but stereos watching this series. I ordered one book for Christmas and he is READING!Already asked me to order the next one !

Lovit

When I was a pre-teen, I fell in love with R.L. Stine and his Fear Street books. I was a little too old when his Goosebump series finally came out, but figured that it would be great for the younger audience. I kept this in mind when I had two little girls, and was really hoping that at least one of them would be interested in this great author.Low and behold, after the Goosebumps movie came out, one of my daughters wanted to read the book after I explained that the movie was based off his books.We read the first one together and plan on reading all of them, in order. My daughter is only 6 but is mature enough to handle any of the "scariness" she comes across. I recommend that parents read it with their kids to see if they would be able to handle some of the things discussed (nothing like Fear Street novels). Some kids may not be into (mild) horror and may get scared, so proceed with caution if under 8 (as recommended).

I liked night of the living dummy because it had a very good story line of characters and supporting cast including the parents and great friends and the dummy named slowly in his first appearance in a scary book and is worth recommending

I love Goosebumps and specifically Slappy. This one has him but he's not the main villain. Pretty slow compared to other Goosebumps books
