As the title says, installation was fine. Just keep track of the screws and watch an iFixit teardown guide. Due to the extremely strong adhesive Nintendo uses to attach the battery, the guitar pick pry tool is worthless. I used an old gift card on the side closest to the connector, shoving it in with some force, and lifted it out. Don't puncture the battery or try to use any tool that might. Battery life is about 2.5 hours in Animal Crossing at maximum brightness, which is as expected for a launch model switch.As an aside, if you experience high temps or loud fans, consider replacing the thermal paste with Thermalright/Arctic paste or Honeywell PTM-7950 (Linus sells it if you want to guarantee it is real). Replacement fans can be had for cheap on Ali Express.

I have just received my kit today and decided to install it, here are my thoughts:Check the bottom an important update!InstructionsThe instructions are fairly clear, the images are very helpful but the order of each step is kind of off throwing so you have to really pay attention to the instructions. Almost had two incidents because the little instructions kept confusing me.KitThe kit is quite small, pretty useful and you can even put every piece in the package as you go so you don’t lose themBatteryThe battery itself seems to be defective, as every minute (not even) that passes drains one percentage (or even two) from the battery life! I had to change the original battery for this same issue, with the original Nintendo battery it would drain the whole battery in a matter of minutes, this one does the same but not as quickly.The battery came already 100% charged but in a matter of 20 minutes it’s already missing 20% of its battery life![Update 10/13/2021]If you had the same issue as me, all you have to do is charge it and it will work just fine! I can now fully enjoy my switch and play with friends.

Got this to recondition our old Wii U gamepad. Installation was easy.Battery life is spectacular. The gamepad when new only lasted about 3 hours during play. Ours was down to about 45 minutes. After replacing with this battery, we now get a little over 11 hours of run time per charge.Would recommend even if your gamepad’s battery is not worn out as it provides way better battery life!

This is a great product for the cost. Considering the battery, and both needed screwdrivers are included, this is a great kit for cheap.Install SHOULD have been extremely easy. However due to how the switch was manufactured, the screws were over-tightened, one was stripped after just two twists of trying to remove, and the stock battery was glued in with a giant glob of glue. I had to drill out the stripped screw, then heat and pry on the battery for over 30 minutes before it came out (still had to forcefully remove it). So the process itself is very straightforward. But carrying it out, not so much. This does not reflect the quality of this product. But should be noted that install difficulty may vary from easy to medium at best.As far as the battery, it works as expected. However the battery life is just ‘okay’ in my opinion. I replaced the stock battery because I was only getting a couple of hours out of it, after a few years of use and sitting on the charger for long periods of time. This new battery is the same. I get a couple hours at best. So there wasn’t really much improvement.

This battery had good reviews so I gave it a shot. Before I go into how it did not work let me tell you my background. I'm a software engineer currently working as a Director of Software development. I've also done my time in the trenches building computers since you had to use a soldering iron in some cases. I've been a system integrator contracting with some of the biggest names including HP, IBM/Lenovo and Compaq (back when it was it's own brand). I've torn down and put together many phones and updated, upgraded or fixed mobile devices as far back as the Cassiopea.I know what I'm doing.This battery is complete junk. I followed all of the conditioning/training instructions and still with this thing plugged in the battery would read multiple random values from 3% to 100% and many values in between minute by minute. Unplugged it was worse and typically only lasted between 15-30 minutes just sitting at the menu.I contacted the seller to ask for advice and received radio silence. After a few days Amazon refunded the purchase.

Easy install, battery works perfect

Stripped my screws... drilled out and got to it! Battery was lifted off with tool (glue wasn't loosened I don't have a heat gun). Worked immediately and is charging. Original battery wasn't charging and device was dead. The quality is good for the price. Replacement was easy with instructions.

Overall tools and battery were nice. Sadly this wasn't what killed my daughters switch.From what I remember of the instructions or maybe just from the Googling I did. The hardest part is getting the old battery out. It was recommended to use a hair dryer to heat it up to soften the factory adhesive. Between that and lots of poking and prying was able to release the old battery. New one was a good fit. There was adhesive for the battery but since the instructions were lacking took some time to figure out that's what it was.
