Good fin for tec diving
I am looking for a travel fin to augment my Scubapro Seawing Nova. These IST Rocket are a very capable fin, but unfortunately will not work for me. I got their largest size, and still my foot fits just barely with a dive boot on (uncomfortably jammed way in, and the strap stretched to the limit), and would be near impossible to remove in the water after a boar dive. That they are heavy (6.7 lbs vs 4.8 lbs for the ScubaPro), and they are negatively buoyant (the ScubaPro fins will float in seawater if I accidentally let go of them.I give the fin a 5 rating because they are a good, solid fin, and I suspect would last a long time (unless I drop them when while trying to get back onboard after a boat dive). Would be a great fin for divers with smaller feet

These have lasted me a few years, they fit nice and work well, light and easy.

Gigantic size
I was excited yet hesitant when I found these gigantic flippers. 99.9% of the products out there claim to be "XL" or "XXL", when they are nothing of the sort. They are ALWAYS much smaller than the manufacturers make them out to be. Well, my big-footed, scuba-loving, size-searching cohabitants, search no more.At first, I ordered the 3XL, thinking, there's no way these would match the sizing chart, which I believe stated they would accommodate up to a size 15 in men's (US). Well, I was shocked to find these were too big for me. This is an extremely rare occurrence, since I have very wide feet and always have to up-size just to get more width. Funny thing is, I have a friend who actually does wear size 15 shoes, so rather than return them, he bought them from me. He was ecstatic that we found flippers big enough for him.So, next I ordered the 2XL, and again I was amazed: they fit perfectly. Most importantly, the opening is wide and tall, dimensions in which footwear manufacturers worldwide fail miserably, and almost universally.I have yet to try these in water, so I cannot speak to the durability or functionality, but I'll update the review as I do so. I will say that the flippers are very heavy and long, a little more so than I would have liked. I may trim an inch or two of length for ease of use and to reduce the weight a bit. They seem very durable and hopefully will last a long time.

Great knock off of actual rocket fins
Ill be in the navy special warfare program in a few months after this summer when i ship. I was looking for a way to get used to finning before I left but I didn't want to spend a great deal of money for something I would only need to use for a few months. These fins fit the bill almost perfectly. The only thing I did wrong when ordering was the sizing. I have a size 13 foot, so to I ordered an XXL. BUT I use a 2mm Neoprene sock and not a big diving boot, so it's a little big. I would either recommend going down one size if you plan on using just the sock, or following the charts but using a 5mm+ thick neoprene sock with a sole and toe wrap around. I don't do that because it was more expensive but whatever. Also don't try to buy a replacement buckle/clip on system for the straps. It won't fit.

Good price for a good fin
After looking at different brand "tech" diving fins, I thought I would give these a shot. I didn't feel like spending twice as much for brand name jet/turtle/rocket-fins and I knew I wanted to upgrade to spring straps right off the bat, which would add another ~$50.My previous pair of fins were Scuba Max Aero fins, and in comparison, these rocket fins are stiffer. It took a few kicks to get used to these new fins but I feel like I can get much more force out of these rocket fins, both using freestyle kick and frog kick. These fins offer good control and I was able to turn in place with using one fin and swim backwards using the back kick technique. As with all fins, proper kick technique will go a long way. These fins are negatively buoyant and will sink if you let them go. They are just slightly lighter than scubapro jetfins of the same size, and they are very close in stiffness when it comes to flexibility of the fin.As of right now, I have only used these in the pool on scuba. I will update after I get in a few more ocean dives with these fins. For reference, I wear 7mm neoprene wetsuit boots in Size 8 and a Large fin fits perfectly. If I were to switch to a drysuit and bigger boots, I would get XL.

You Get What You Pay For--In This Case, Two Pieces of Garbage
I'm not sure why these fins are getting rave reviews...because they're terrible. The only thing I can think of is that all the reviewers are nostalgic for the mid-1900's and hate anything new or better than the things that got handed down to them by their great grandparents. The rubber foot pocket is simply awful. To begin with, it's shaped for people who have bricks for feet--rectangular! Absurd. This leaves too much room in the toe area to feel like you have any control over the fin at all. The pocket is also too small at the opening. Even the XXL would not let me get my foot in with a pair of 3mm soft-soled boots. Going without smashed my toes up against the flat front wall of the pocket and was extremely uncomfortable. Second, the strap is a piece of junk. It would not stay tightened (or even attached) no matter what I did. Third, they're really, really heavy and would be a huge pain to travel with. I've trialed about 6 pairs of fins in the last month and these are by far the worst. Hopefully returning them won't be as much of a hassle as others have had. Otherwise, I'll be regretting this purchase even more.Update: I requested an RMA through Amazon, who sent an e-mail to the seller, Prime Scuba. I received a canned response back a day later saying I had to contact Amazon because Amazon shipped the fins. If they had even read the e-mail, they would have known that I had already contacted Amazon (IT CAME FROM THEM!). Plus, the fins shipped from Prime Scuba (complete with a Prime Scuba packing slip), so saying they shipped from Amazon was a lie. This isn't looking good.Update: I have received an RMA and an apology for the confusion from the seller. The fins are on their way back. All seems well now.
