Jovan Intense Oud Cologne Spray for Women, 3 Ounce

I like perfumes that are unusual and woodsy - especially for the winter months. Additionally, I don't want to smell like everyone else either so I tend to stay away from what everyone else is wearing. I am a huge amber, sandalwood, patchouli, oriental fan and normally wear perfume oil from Saudi Arabia for all the reasons stated above, plus, they last so much longer than what I have normally found elsewhere. One brand that will forever be a favorite is Jovan. I wear their Musk in the summer and in early fall, Jovan Woman is perfect. When I saw this one, I had to try it due to the oud in the perfume. Oud can be sharp, heady and strong - which I like - and then it softens into the most incredibly sexy scent. This one does not disappoint. It starts out sharp and as it mellows, becomes this really sexy, unusual scent. I've been wearing it for several years - it used to be so much less expensive, however, once I tried it, I had to have it and it's now a staple. I get tons of compliments when I wear it and it has become my 'winter' scent. On me, it lasts all day and just keeps getting better and better. Highly recommend.

Not at all what I expected. Smells like Citronella bug spray. I like simple old Jovan original. It reminds me of late 70’s. My next door neighbor was so pretty. She wore it, and I wanted to be like her! Her name was Ronnie, short for Veronica. She has long brown hair to her hiney. Which was the style then. I played with her brother who was my age. I would ask to use bathroom and would sneak on her Jovan musk. Every time I smell that perfume it always brings back great memories or Ronnie. This musk was so clean, like the smell of good shampoo. Clean and natural like skin. If you were around to enjoy in 70’s-80’s you get it. But this OUD ISNT it! Stick with the original. Some things are better left as they are.

Nice *INEXPENSIVE "Oud" well worth the price!That said.... It might make some people sick or some might not like this scent.It is not an exclusively oud scent! There is (what I get is) a "soft rose" and a musk mixed in. This is an incense-y smell.The oud is the prominent note its kind of sweet in a way and in the background if you smell it *good* (get a deep wiff) you can smell a sort of like what I get is a "citrus-y rubber-y lemon pledge" smell. (its hidden way deep in the back)THIS THING IS LAYERED!Its for an acquired taste but the price is right to maybe *try* something new (if you never smelled this)A scent that is not for everyone unless you know what this scent is like to wear I actually bought a second bottle after purchasing it on Amazon for someone else and liked it for the price (but i like oud-ish incense scents)Moderate lasting power for a $10 perfume/cologne i think is very good.5 Stars price3 Stars scent4 Stars for overall satisfaction

This smells like an ingredient rather than a stand alone scent. Jovan Oud is very strong and long lasting. For my taste, it needs to be mixed with something to soften and/or sweeten it. It is not anything I could imagine wearing on its own. It does not smell good on me either initially or as it wears. It was an inexpensive mistake.

If you love Oud, this is one of the least expensive fragrances that offers a great oud smell.I was hesitant to buy this. It was because of the brand name Jovan. I’ve always associated Jovan with their signature musks which I dislike. I took a chance on this one because I love oud so much and it is so inexpensive.There is just a tiny bit of musk in the base notes but mostly what I smell is this deep, complex woody notes, softly sweetened with very subtle floral notes. The floral notes are so subtle that this is definitely a unisex fragrance. Men and women alike can wear this.I love the price. It’s possibly the only perfume I have purchased at this price point that I love and would buy again. It doesn’t smell cheap, in fact I have much more expensive oud fragrances and sometimes prefer this one over the more expensive fragrances.Definitely a keeper for me. Will be buying another bottle when this runs out.

From what I know of oud fragrances, Jovan Intense Oud, though doubtlessy synthetic, is pretty similar to some others I've smelled. It is, for example, similar to the note of oud in Al Rehab Al Sharquiah.The fragrance is sweet, with noticeable amber and rose. Its note of oud I find enjoyable & addicting.

I wasn't sure what I'd think of this, as ouds tend to be too sharp and medicinal on me, but I had to try it anyway. I love oud as a note and it works so well on others. At any rate, this isn't really an oud scent when you get it on. There is a medicinal almost camphorwood scent but it fades down into what I would have to call a woody, resinous rose. It will be too sharp for some wearers, which is definitely an aspect of real oud, and there are powdery elements in here that will also turn off others. I dislike powder notes myself, but this one is blended in such a way with the woods that instead of baby powder awful, it is instead a soothing softness in the base of the fragrance. Overall, very nice, cheap as dirt and worth reapplying when it fades away, as it definitely does about mid-day. A good find and worth a try if the listed notes sound good to you.

I absolutely love Jovan's regular Musk, White Musk and Black Musk. This scent is TERRIBLE! As I cannot return it, I donated it to my local thrift store. I will not purchase any more cologne on line unless I have used it before and know what is smells like.
