Works well , Remote is nice and the timer is a nice feature as well

The media could not be loaded. I decided to purchase the Rikon because of it's long time support of Public Broadcasting and it's reputation.Mine arrived in an undamaged box but when the unit was powered on it was anything but whisper quiet. OK, stuff happens and I decided to call Rikon tech support. They were very nice and asked me to send them a video of the noise. I did and after 36 hours I still hadn't even received an acknowledgement of receiving my email or the creation of a problem ticket.The next day was a Friday and when I tried to follow up I was informed by their phone's auto-attendant that everyone was busy helping people and that the switchboard was closed. Since all I had was my tech first name and no phone extension, I was S.O.L.So, I did what I should have done in the first place. Put in a return with Amazon and ordered the WEN 3410 3-Speed, which was about half the price of the Rikon. It arrived the next day and it works just fine.I understand that we are in a pandemic and every company is having staffing issues, but all I needed was a little bit of attention and honesty, and I got neither.Sorry Rikon, you've lost me as a customer.

If I were asked to rate the unit only I would give it five stars. However, since I was asked to rate not only the unit but the seller as well, I am giving it four stars and here is why: The unit arrived with a dent in the side that was severe enough to chip off the paint. However, it was on the ‘opposite’ side of the unit from where I was working thus, I didn’t notice until I hung it. It seems to work fine and I like the unit so do not plan to return it. The unit is packed well inside a plastic wrap with styrofoam ends. This is then placed inside a box and that box is placed inside a second box. In order to dent the unit, which has a pretty solid metal cover, it must have been hit with a fork lift. Further inspection shows a hole in that side of both boxes. Still, the unit performs well, the instructions are clear, it is easy to hang and I like the remote. I would buy it again, but this time would closely inspect it to make sure everything is as it should be.

Sweet little filter to do the job in a small garage. Air is Clean, has a timer for when you forget to turn it off, and best of all a remote. The quality is good with the RIKON brand and i believe it’s a great value for the money.
