If followed, It is a wonderful jumping off material for ideas to get children thinking and experimenting with natural science and physics.

I need this book in my block area!So many wonderful illustrated photographs. Well explained and outlined book. Mental illustrations is a huge component of constructivist teaching, and is well explained in the text. I love how numeracy is supported for emerging readers as well, as there are many opportunities to address numbers throughout this text as well. I recommend this. It's a high quality piece.
