impressed again by Rexing
This is my third rexing product that have purchased and so far have been very impressed with the cameras. I originally bought the v1 dash cam and have to say that rexing has vastly improved their quality.Installation of the camera is very simple and no different than any of the other models. Just stick on the camera to the inside of the windsheild (I prefer the right hand side just behind the rear view mirror). Run the cable through the A pillar, either behind moulding or by removing the trim piece that covers the A pillar. The rear camera wire can be run alongside the headliner or the carpet margins (whatever is easiest). Just figure out the easiest path before starting to route the wiring.I really like the wide angle this camera provides. It allows for a good side to side view so you can record the left and right views and get a better recording of the vehicles next to you. Compared to the v1, this camera has a supercapacitor, which makes the camera much more durable and longer lasting in multitudes of climates. 4k video is much better than the 1080p that I used to have, much more detail is observed in the recordings and license plates are much more clear. It is also easy to transfer the recording via wifi to your smartphone if and when necessary. Also did i mention that this unit has a gps built in. The rear camera is vastly superior to the older camera that I had, which was grainy and seemed more like a black and white camera. This newer rear camera gives a much clearer recording (like a 1080p front cam). The parking sensor will require a hardwire kit (sold separately). I just wished it came with this kit so If i wanted to install it, i would have the option.Overall I am impressed and very happy with the camera. The resolution is great and usability is very good.Very worth the purchase.

Great dash cam!
This is my third Rexing purchase and overall I have been very happy with their products. The V1 camera I purchased four years ago is still going strong. I bought this V1PGW primarily to get the rear camera and built-in GPS since those did not come with my other cameras. I noticed Rexing upgraded the mounting clips to a three point of contact system which is more secure than the previous model design. The mounting strip is still the same 3M adhesive which works great. This camera systems works as designed and gives you the peace of mind that you'll have a record of significant events while driving. I like the 3 min loop recording setting. I'll use the lock feature to save video clips of anything crazy that happens on the road. I recommend using a memory card that allows for several hours of video storage before overwriting, that way you don't have to worry about saving/locking a clip during commutes, you can just download once at your destination if needed. On that note, I highly recommend doing a practice run of downloading a test clip to an external device (phone/laptop etc.) just to make sure everything works as expected versus waiting until an incident occurs. I prefer to just pop out the memory card and view/download clips on my pc versus using the wifi feature and my phone. You can view clips on the camera itself, but the screen is small and the buttons can be cumbersome to scroll through videos. Some users have complained about the screen viewing angle when mounted, this of course all depends on your vehicle’s windshield angle. However, I rarely need to look at the screen while driving. Only on startup to ensure it’s angled correctly and recording. But otherwise the screensaver goes dark so it’s not distracting, and if you really need to navigate the menus I would just take the camera off the windshield mount. The wide-angle 4K video looks great. As expected some clarity is lost at night, but that’s the case with any camera unless it has IR or some other night vision feature. I’ve captured videos on my V1 of animals running across the road at night and the image was plenty clear. This is a great camera overall and I have one in every vehicle, definitely recommend!

LCD Screen viewing angle is wrong when fixed to windshield. High quality video. Low quality plasti.
Used on my SUV. First impression is when fixing it to the windshield, I could not see the lcd scree well. First I thought it was my point of view when installing, but after proper installed the screen is angled towards the front (no other way possible, always the angle is bad). The image when programming or viewing in-camera videos/photos is very bad that cannot be seen well. I had to take it out from the windshield and grab the camera on my hand to proper calling the lcd screen or using WIFI to view from my phone, that is not always possible when driving or in quick actions. The cables for installation (Power cable and rear video cables) are very good quality and long enough for a SUV.The rear camera feels cheap, but video is good enough. When fixed to window can be tilted down or up until the right view is reached. The front camera and main unit feels also of low quality plastic. Buttons and the "click" sound they made does not match with the price paid. Hope it lasts long enough. The front camera video is great, but playing from WIFI freezes sometimes and viewing on the camera itself is a problem due to the viewing angle of the screen and having to take it off from windshield to view on camera. The only viable option is to take the memory card and use it on a computer. The camera itself is practical enough and seems the designers did not paid attention to the viewing angle and working wifi capabilities.Although the use will be primary for safety and not for watching vides every day or every time, it bothers me a little bit. After installing cabling and then noticing the problem, I decided to give it a try before the return warranty ends. Hope I don't regret returning it sooner. Or perhaps I will update this comment later saying that I kept the camera...
