Amazing straighteners. My previous Remington straighteners packed up on Sunday. I didn’t realise there was an intermittent fault, thought it was me being cack handed and turning them on/off!! They’done well as they lasted on the cusp of 5 years, so no complaints and good value for money.Choosing a replacement model wasn’t easy. I didn’t want to spend a fortune, but wanted good quality. After reading all the reviews I selected these. They arrived next day.I have fine, wiry and naturally borderline Afro curls. A pain to maintain when wearing straight. Used the straighteners for the first time this morning and WOW my hair looks as though I’ve been to the salon before work!Absolutely delighted with these straighteners. They are slim, a good length plate and lightweight - lighter and slimmer than my previous Remingtons, making them easier to use. I would highly recommend these. I’d say a very close match to my original GHDs.

These are fantastic straighteners...I have used them for years now, before I had ghd which were not as good for my thick hair.these glide through and heat up really quickly and you can adjust temp.I wouldn't be without them and of course the price is amazing.

So far I’m impressedI got these for me 11 year old daughter, starting high school she wanted to straighten her hair and I didn’t want to spend massive amounts considering her age and her first set of straighteners. I looked up a lot of hair straighteners, read reviews, made sure the brand was well known, the price was low and in my opinion these were the best.They heat up pretty quick, it has a little on and off slider switch and it flashes blue when it’s either too low in heat or when it’s heating up, as soon as it’s hot enough it stops flashing and stays blue. they didn’t have a bad smell, the heat adjustment is great as my daughters hair isn’t used to heat. I blow dried each section first as I went along and started off on a low heat with the straighteners then turned it up hotter as I went along and as soon as it reached a heat that worked for her hair I kept it there it didn’t need to be up full heat, my daughter is mixed so her hair is naturally curly and has a corse texture too it but soft at the same time, it’s medium thickness so if you’re looking and you or the person you are looking for has curly hair with a similar hair type then the straighteners did a pretty good job.For the price they are brilliant straighteners, they didn’t snag or pull any hair out as I made sure I used the full plate instead of just the tip of it where it seems to catch and pull with most straighteners from what I’ve used before. They were smooth going through her hair from root to tip, as long as I kept brushing through her hair with one hand and straighteners in the other they would just glide through nicely. So far I recommend these straighteners and I will update in a couple of months or if something goes wrong.28th May 2021Had to send the first set back after a couple of week as one plate was loose (didn’t affect the straighteners they still worked great) got sent a second pair with in days and they have been absolutely perfect. Still working beautifully 8 month on and she uses them at least once a week so even if they did break they have had a good run given the price. Still recommend these straighteners.27th April 2022Still amazing would 100% recommendThought I’d give another update (last one) December 11 2024 they still work great but my daughter stopped using them to embrace her natural curls (glad she’s grown out of the straight hair phase) any way still 100% recommend 🤌🏽

I bought this almost a year ago, and being used to a GHD straightener I wasn't expecting much from this straightener. But it is actually very good and worth buying if you don't want to spend too much money. And something I find useful is the dial to change the temperature you want it to be, of course though if you have it at the lowest temperature you won't get many results, but when you put it at the max be careful because it can get very very hot, so what I would advise is that you put it halfway. Overall I'm very satisfied with it and would definitely advise anyone who wants to buy a non-expensive straightener that works well and does its job!

I’ve always been a fan of Remington straighteners as I always had their Shine Therapy version.So when they died on me I was just going to get the same BUT in the last year my arms are considerably weaker as are my hands - seeing these are a lot lighter( 368 grams for former to 336 grams for these) and much quicker to heat up -15 seconds yup 15 seconds and they have a lovely dial that’s easy to use ( even if it’s in a weird place) it was a no brainer.The on & off switch is just brilliantly easy I can do it with my finger nail - for someone who is wanting to keep their independence I love this .The only thing I think is cheap & nasty is the case they provide - it’s made of felt and not all the quality of the Remington Shine Therapy white silky one ( which I kept to put these in) .The straighteners themselves are slim & have ceramic plates that can go from 150-230 so very powerful .The swivel for the cord is so easy you are not constantly having to correct it - my old ones, nice that they were did get stiff towards the end.All in all with the price being the same as I paid many years ago for my first Remingtons ,I’m looking forward to many years of use and would definitely recommend.I didn’t deduct a star for the case as to me the straighteners themselves make up for the shortfall of the case.

According to Amazon, I bought these in Feb 2016 and they have only just died. I kept thinking i ought to upgrade to a newer model but as they worked do well, I found I couldn't justify it. I've looked at different models and they are all so expensive, so I've found myself looking at Remington again. Hardworking straighteners for every day use

Bought these as my cloud nines died on me 😭 so got these until mine comes. And definitely not disappointed for the price there actually really good!Wish I never bought a new pair as these are just as good. And a nice wee sleeve you get with them to keep them neat and tidy.Definitely recommend 👌
