Useful especially for working with prickly plants
Excellent garden gloves, and would definitely buy again. They are really useful to prune a plant with thorns as the thorns don’t go through.

They Really Do Protect My Hands
These gloves are incredibly soft and comfortable from first use. I do habitat management work on nature reserves and so inevitably come into contact with a lot of thorns. I bought these gloves because my regular leather gardening gloves simply did not provide enough protection, and I was tired of going home with hands and wrists covered in scratches and weals.Since I have started to use these Gold Leaf Tough Touch Gloves, I have not had a single wound in my hands or wrists. The contrast with ordinary gloves was graphically demonstrated when I was working with others on laying a hedge. I was absolutely fine but a colleague, who was wearing a brand new pair of other leather gardening gloves, managed to drive a spike of Blackthorn deep into the base of his thumb [ouch] and went off streaming blood to get first aid.

Best gardening gloves for anything but wet or very delicate work
I've been using Gold Leaf Tough Touch Gloves for a number of years. For most of the garden/forest work that I do, these are by far the best gloves that I have found. What's so good about them? Well, they are comfortable, they are as close to thorn proof as you are likely to find without wrapping your hands in kevlar, and they are gauntlet style so you get protection beyond your wrist. From forestry work, I am still covered in scrapes on the upper part of my forearms, but as far as these gloves cover, I am scratch & scrape free.On the downside, they don't work so well in wet conditions, and the yellow colour ends up all over your hands if you do use them in the wet. They're also not much use for fine weeding and other delicate jobs.I tend to do heavy outside work, which involves felling and transporting trees (it sounds contrary, but it's for conservation purposes), hedge laying, etc, as well as more typical gardening activities. I use these Gold Leaf gloves for all of these activities, other than when I need to pop chainsaw gloves on for extra protection, or for when I need to do something where I know I will be operating in wet conditions. I even wear the Gold Leaf gloves when doing maintenance of chainsaws, brushcutters etc to protect my hands. When I recently did a 6 month course in land operations, many of the other students on the course tried my Gold Leaf gloves and vowed to buy their own, they were that impressed. My only wish is that it was possible to buy the gloves individually. Typical gardeners may find these gloves near indestructible, but I manage to get through two or three pairs per year (would be more if I did forestry full-time). The thing that I find goes is always the end of the finger tips on the right-hand, so at this point I have a pile of left-hand gloves that are still perfectly usable, but am just ordering more complete pairs to get some more right-hand gloves. Any left-handed gardeners out there with the equivalent problem - let me know!Very highly recommended, for anything but wet or very delicate jobs (or those requiring chainsaw protection).

Best gloves ever...However
Nothing gets through theses gloves...Brambles piece of cake...However...if they were a size bigger (10) I would give them a five stars...as you wear them your hands start to sweat and then you have to peel off the gloves...I've worn them in wet weather gardening and they dry out as new with battle scars, so soft and comfortable until you've worn them for a few hours and they get tight...A size bigger would be perfect...come on...

Great for dealing with brambles
Professional gardener here. These are great for removing brambles, just wish they came up higher. I would purchase elbow length in future, but delighted with these. I no longer look like I have been herding feral kittens. They are warm and extremely comfortable too

Great protection
These gloves are brilliant, I always struggled to clear garden waste due to getting pricked by thorny branches and leaves. With these I don't have to worry as it offers great protection, without losing the fe for what you are doing. These are so good that I brought these for family members as well as myself.

So soft yet so tough.
After researching gloves that are thorn proof I settled on these after watching a Youtube video with someone grabbing brambles with no penetration of the glove. I tried them today and they are remarkable: I was able to grab, pull, fold & bag up the most evil bramble jungle at the back of our garden. Confidience in their protective ability was gained within minutes. Wish I'd seen them years ago. Well worth the money.

Great for grabbing nettles and brambles
I like that they do what they say they do. Comparatively expensive , but worth it
