I like these coconut chips but was somewhat surprised with the texture, Good price, generous size and fast shipping were great. However, this mix was much, much coarser than I initially anticipated. I bought this product to use as part of the medium in the enclosed terrarium with a very narrow opening (antique demijohn bottle). Some chips were so large that it took a lot of effort to push them through. So this definitely needs to be considered when purchasing. Otherwise an excellent product, packaging, price and service. No regrets buying it and will likely purchase again.

These coconut husk chips are a game changer for keeping my plants healthy, providing plenty of drainage at the bottom of my plant pots. They also provide great texture for the roots to grab onto, which makes re-potting plants as they grow much easier later on. I love this product and will use it for almost all my plants moving forward—I can't live without it now!

I use this as substrate for my ball python. It holds humidity great. It's inexpensive and works great. It's size in the package is nice and compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space to store. It expands a lot when water is added. Great quality.

Before getting this I didn't realize how many tropical plants don't like potting soil since it retains too much water and gives them root rot. We now use this along with coco coir and a few other things for our tropical plants. We've already ordered more since we love it so much and it is such a good price!

Last summer I purchased the 10-lb size but didn't think I needed that much this time so I bought the 2-pack.The bricks were pretty small and one of them seemed like a half-brick. This mulch is still really easy to use for the first time. I watched a video that showed soaking the whole brick in a bin of water for about two minutes. I spread it around my asparagus last summer and will be trying it again this summer in a thicker layer. I'll need to add more of this mulch every year after it breaks down over the winter

Very well packaged and the blocks were easy to break apart.

I soaked these coir bricks for about four hours, broke them up, and mixed them into potting soil (along with ground biochar, moisture beads, and coarse sand) when repotting a dozen citrus and a pair of olive trees who spend most of the year outdoors. I like the coarser texture that has disappointed others who are using the product for different purposes, as it seems to both maintain some available moisture while not waterlogging roots. The trees have settled into their new pots and are thriving in the Florida summer heat, with fewer extreme swings in the moisture levels of their soil than before repotting. I happily recommend this product.
