Bought to replace my taillight. Great little tool!

It's exactly what I needed and seems very durable. My only issue is it not being easy to a access the screw. Had to be REALLY careful to not strip it. Awesome product but not ideal for all areas.

Of all the things I never expected to be stolen... A week or two ago, I walked outside to find that my rear license plate was missing. There are a lot of paper plates and occasionally some dumped cars in my neighborhood, but I never realized stealing license plates was a thing. And oddly enough, they only took one. Of course, I immediately went down to the DMV, had my old plates canceled (and marked as stolen), and got new plates. And then my goal was to keep them from being stolen again.I headed for the auto parts store and found a pack of Cruiser 81500 License Plate Locking Fasteners, which came with a small pin-in-star hex wrench to use. My fear was that I would lose that little wrench and have to go buy another $10 kit when the time comes to change plates again. Unfortunately, that kit doesn't say what size the wrench is either, so I had no idea what to really look for.This Tolsen star hex key set actually solves two problems for me. First, it's got enough sizes included that one of them matched up with the bolts I used to fasten on my new license plates. And second, it's not so small that I'll lose it somewhere in my junk/tool drawer. The chances of my new plates being stolen have diminished greatly with these new anti-theft fasteners -- because how many fly-by-night license plate thieves are running around with anything more than a standard screwdriver? And when I inevitably lose the tiny wrench my bolt kit came with, I've got a sizable and brightly colored tool now that will save me a trip to the auto parts store.

Has most stars you will need & it's lightweight - as the competitors are made of metal. I wanted something plastic so it wouldn't make noise in my storage container, that way I can keep it on the vehicle if needed. does not lock into position, but I couldn't find one that does like my KOBALT alan does.It looks sturdy enough, but I'm not sure the quality of the metal, so just don't expect to torque tightly with this - simple tightening should be okay.
