Right price
I use this as part of my stage set up and I have two. Yes there are bigger and better out there but they cost twice as much. These cover all my needs up to large outdoor venues. It takes a while to dial them in and I was doing it wrong. Back off the gain and use minimal power at your output to the speakers. Get your volume at the speaker volume dial and it will sound great.

I purchased this speaker based on its specs, which matched my needs, in spite of a few reviews complaining of horn being noisy. The unit I received has performed very well and I have found no complaints thus far.

Overall this monitor is a great. The only problem I encountered is that on the third use, the bolts in the back that hold the amp plate were loose and they did not fit properly. So I had to change them with longer ones to make sure they dont get tloose with vibrations. Other than that is very well builded and protected.

Noisy in higher frequency range.
This item is very noisy in the high-frequency range. Essentially the horn emanates a buzz/noise that seems to be audible when it cannot reproduce a certain set of frequencies in the higher registers. Or the reproduction of those frequencies seems inaccurate and thus sounds bad for that moment of sound reproduction. Almost a ground-like noise in and out. Also, the first time I turned the unit off with out turning the volume all the way down the unit sounded like it was going to self destruct. There was a very alarming discharge noise that came through the speakers. Indicative (I suspect) of a bad (or cheap) sound isolation design; which may play into why the higher registers lack noise or sonic isolation. The cost of the unit compared to the performance still seems inadequate to me the consumer. My sense is that I can use the unit for gigs and situations where I'm not too concerned with stage sound clarity because I may have another monitor to assist with stage sound delivery. The unit seems reasonably well put together from a construction point of view even considering all of the pot's (volume and eq.) seem to move laterally (side-to-side) too much, almost loose. I will most likely consider the higher costing, bigger names for monitor sound applications in the future.

Got Hiss? Shell out a little more if you need quality
It's got a lot of hiss. This was my first try on Seismic and I was really hoping for Behringer or Peavey level quality. It may be that this was just an inexpensive powered speaker. I'm using it as a drummer monitor, so it's loud enough. I wouldn't make it as a vocal monitor or acoustic guitar monitor.

Keep looking.
Either I got a speaker with a defect, or this is just low quality junk. I set it up, plugged in and with the settings at about mid-level range, it could hardly be heard. So I turned the volume up to max and got some sound, but it came out distorted, tinny, and all around pretty horrible. The adjustment knobs in the back are not secured down very well, they wiggle a lot. The casing itself is ok. It's sturdy and the steel mesh grill on the front is good. But the guts that actually run the sound are pretty much junk, or, again, maybe just a defect. I won't be purchasing anything by this manufacturer again.
