Great Option for Glass Block
The window openings in my basement were filled at some point with glass block. It always drove me crazy that there was no ventilation down there. A year or so back I had someone take a look to see what it would cost to put in basement, sliders or hoppers and I think it was like $600 or $800 a window installed, which is probably not terrible as it’s a lot of work breaking out the block and reframing.Instead, I thought I would tackle the project by installing these hopper windows for a little bit of ventilation.Firstly, I’d say I’m pretty handy and I’ve learned quite a bit from YouTube. Not sure what we did before that. Essentially what I did was used a concrete bit to blow holes between the glass block joints as I needed to take out two blocks as you can see from the pictures. Needless to say make sure you wear safety glasses and I should’ve put something on my face as I did get some glass and concrete chips shooting back. I would also say depending on the gap in the joints if you’re doing something similar is to use a bit a little smaller mine was 5/16 and it ended up cracking one of the blocks. You could also see the picture of the mortar that I used. You just mix it right in the container. Was just enough for one window. I basically just laid the mortar down and put the window in and leveled it and then filled around the sides in the top. I still probably have to do some caulking and I’ll use that gray mortar caulk but for now it looks good and I highly recommend the window. it will probably take most people three or four hours I would think.

perfect fit
This product is orginially made for glass block, however I framed it out with 2x4's and mounted it in the wall between a bathroom and bedroom. if you are mounting it between two rooms, the window fits perfectly with the framed 2x4's but you will have a 1/2 inch recess on each side of the wall because of the thickness of the drywall (the window will not sit flush on both sides of the wall). This can be solved with 1/2" quarter round molding- to trim out the recessed area. I used additional trim molding on the outter edges to give it a finished look. The product is well made and was delivered in a timely manner.

Excellent window for my project
I built a small laundry room next to the bathroom with a wire shelf and a rod for drying certain items. I framed with 2x4s and insulated and also used sliding mirror doors with a light inside.I wanted a way to let some light out so I could do laundry more easily while others sleep. I also wanted a way to vent moisture and if a window ideally any lint could be could be caught. Also, something that helped reduce escaping sound. This window checks all those boxes.I installed it high just above the sliding mirror doors centered. I shimmed in an opening with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap all the way around. I predrilled holes, 2 on each side on the inside of the vinyl frame of the window where the screw heads would not interfere with the opening and closing of the window and the screw heads would not be visible from the outside. I used long white headed cabinet screws to secure. Then I used great foam window foam to seal around the window (and around framing for the sliding glass doors). Great foam is tricky, had to cut the straw to get appropriate flow.Used a vibrating multi tool and utility knife to make foam and shims flush with vinyl window frame.I sheetrocked to the rough opening and I plan to trim with shoe molding or quarter round or similar. It works perfectly and the screen will even serve as a lint trap for when I'm drying something and venting moisture. It sufficiently blocks sound when closed.I wrote this review because I wanted a similar review to help me but I didn't find one.

UPDATE-Seller made good on defective window
UPDATE: It's funny how an opinion can change very drastically when expectations are met. The seller shipped me a new window immediately upon receiving my complaint.. The new window is in perfect condition. I am happy with those outcomes. It is still a lightweight window, but the fact that it is in new and perfect condition has changed my opinion of the window! OLD REVIEW: Chintzy window. I was shocked there was an actual window in the box, it was so lightweight. The worst part was that it arrived in a perfectly intact box (no damage) but the window was broken. Obviously it was broken when placed in the box. Obviously it was broken during assembly, yet quality control (ha, as if!) passed the window and it was shipped. HUGE disappointment that this is what passes for doing business these days. I live in an extremely remote part of the US. I was not purchasing this window from Amazon because I'm cheap or wanted a cheap product. I was shopping for it on Amazon because it is my only option with out driving 5 hours one way to the closest mid-sized town.

Nice window
I received the window in good time and well packaged. Was exactly what I wanted till I realized it didn't have a flange for mounting. It's designed to be used in place of blocks in a wall. My mistake. So I sent it back. Seller refunded me fully. I love Amazon they are the best place to buy mail order. Thank you

Horrible Window
The worst window I ever ordered. I'm a contractor and have ordered dozens of windows in all shapes, sizes, and manufactures. This one is by far the worst. Cheaply built, thin glass, parts move easily and can be removed with little effort. Ther is also tape all around the window, I assume to keep it from falling apart. It took weeks to get it and they will charge me ~$150 to send it back.Absolutely horrible

Excellent product
Item was perfect for a little window in a small bathroom. I like the way it pulls out and the way it latches when closed. Great product.
