Beautiful surface, easy care, food doesn't stick. Yea!!!
I love to cook, but had always been afraid of cast iron. I tried cast iron cookware before and it turned into a rapidly rusting mess. Then, I had the privilege of reviewing a book written about cast iron cookware. I learned how to properly treat it and now I don't have any problems anymore. It's a really simple thing to do...you just have to get over your fear of them. There are numerous youtube videos about how to season cast iron. Watch them before you take your soapy sponge to clean your skillet! Now that I know how to do it, not only don't I have rusty cookware, but also, I have a fry pan where nothing sticks. It also heats really evenly and maintains its heat so things cook unbelievably well.Recently, I got another cast iron frypan not made by this manufacturer. The difference in surface texture is dynamic. My second one is rough and because of it, it doesn't clean as easily. I would get another pan from Ecolution before ever getting another brand. Evolution's pan has a beautiful, smooth, easy to take care of surface. You will love it.

Great for the grill
I keep this on the warmer in my Weber for butter - just throw it into the fridge between uses. Great but very tiny - even for butter it’s kinda smaller than you’d think. Would be adorable for tiny desserts.

exactly the size i was looking for
the 4 in cast iron dutch oven is perfect for what im looking for. i wanted to use it on my grill, to heat up flavored butter to bask the steak, barbecue rub for different chicken meats, etc. Didn't want it to be too big to take up space on the grill, but small and thick enough for it to withstand the high heat. perfect product!

It's Itty bitty
Make sure you read all the info on this little Itty bitty pan. It is TINY!! I wanted a small casserole with a lid but not this small. Seriously made me laugh. I can't think of any reason to keep it so I'm sending it back. It is .25 of a qt. It MIGHT hold a cup.

just what I was looking for
the previous reviewer is correct. This is a tiny, toy-sized dutch oven, but if you are looking for a cheap mini cocotte this is for you. I refuse to pay $30+ dollars for 1 cocotte just because of a brand name. This is heavy cast iron (I weighed it at 2.2 lbs). It is not enameled, but I prefer it to enameled cast iron. It measures 4-inches across without counting the handles. It is about 2.8 inches deep without counting the lid. I plan on purchasing more of these in the future to make a complete 4 piece set. I plan on making mini baked mac n cheese and baby streusels in them. Baked eggs and grits would do well in this too.

Great for heating sides or extras on the grill.
This review is for the .25 quart cast iron casserole with lid. I received this today knowing it would be small. Small it is but is perfect for warming up barbecue sauce on the grill, melting butter for corn on the cob or what I like, opening up a can of mushrooms and heating them up with some butter to serve on top of steak or hamburgers. This would be to small for any kind of side dish unless for one person. Cute little size for extras or sauces. Made nice and sturdy and I like the fact it comes with a lid on it.

Perfect for storing bacon grease
I'm sure these teeny tiny pots have an intended use, but I have no idea what it is. I almost bought something like this at a brick and mortar store that was going out of business but decided not to. A week later I was making bacon and had non-buyer's remorse, so I headed to Amazon and this is the best one I could find at a price I liked.
